Over the past few months, I have had the pleasure of getting to know a few people that really know what they are talking about in relation to association membership and marketing. The two are Maddie Grant and Lindy Dreyer of SocialFish and Tony Rossell of Marketing General.

Many times when you meet people that really know what they are doing, they have a sense of "I know more than you". Not so with Maddie Grant and Lindy Dryer the founders of SocialFish. Whenever I speak with either of them, they are always very interested in listening and always have great advice. Right now so many associations are looking to implement social media in their membership marketing and communication strategy. SocialFish is a great company to come in and help you determine your social media strategy and planning- and by having those two things addressed early-make an informed technology decision. They are two of the superstars in this industry and if you are even thinking of looking at social media for your association, it would be well worth your while to give them a call.

Tony Rossell is another person that really knows what he is talking about in relation to membership marketing. Tony is an expert in helping membership groups understand the underlying economics of their membership so you can put together an effective marketing strategy. Tony has written articles for ASAE and other groups and has done many speaking engagements on the topic of membership marketing. In the economy that we are all in today, Tony has some great ideas and strategies that can help you "survive and thrive" in this economy. It is not all doom and gloom and Tony is one person I would want to be speaking to if I was looking to not only maintain but grow my association's membership.
